So what is this all about?
We are a non-profit creative project, combining independent Ukrainian cinema, traditional music, travel, communication, and a global cultural exchange. Our last large-scale project, “CineMotion 2010″ – happened during June-September of year 2010. Now “CineMotion 2011″ is under development.
What drives you to do this?
It’s simple. We enjoy it.
What’s in it for you?
The Wandering Film Society “Dali Bude” is a non-profit project, so we’re not out for monetary gain.
Are you pushing your own films?
No. We are not filmmakers.
Where did you find the time and money to do this?
It’s all a matter of choosing your priorities. We consider what we do here to be more important than personal career growth; therefore, we make the time. We don’t have a lot of spare cash, so we minimize the costs where we can by doing things such as hitch-hiking and lodging with the locals during our screening tours.

I love to travel too! Can I join you on your journey?
Unfortunately our hitch-hiking mode of travel doesn’t work well with large groups. However, you can certainly visit one of our screenings and see our labors. For details, please see “Events” menu section.
We want to invite you, and your movies, to our city/town/village. What do we need to do?
We will need a contact ready to assume certain organizational commitments. The minimum in regards to equipment needed is: a viewing room along with a projector, computer, or DVD-player. If you can arrange all this, please contact us at email and specify:
- Your Country
- Full name of your city/town/village
- A contact name, along with all pertinent contact information
- A reference as to your location – as accurate as possible: [map]
- A suggested span of dates (for example, ‘from May to mid-July’, or ‘all year’.)
- Desired times and days of the week (for example, all weekend and on weekdays after 18.00.)
- Capacity of the premises (both the optimum and maximum.)
- Any additional pertinent information

Do all the films come with you?
No, only the ones we choose.
How do you decide which movies you’ll include?
At present we do not conduct open competitions (perhaps one day we will). We use our own discretion. If we like it, we accept it. We can say that we prefer films that unite people regardless of ethnicity, that grant inspiration to live and create, and that offer an understanding of that which is Ukraine, and who we are as Ukrainians.
Do you accept commercial cinema? Generally are there any restrictions?
We accept only the Ukrainian cinema which we are legally allowed to show for free. We reject movies that contain politics, advertising, or unmotivated aggression.
How are people outside Ukraine to understand Ukrainian cinema?
There are two options. Either the film itself is able to be understood without words, or the media must contain an alternate audio track or subtitles – if only in English. If there is the time and inspiration, a subtitled translation to the native language of the countries involved is always a great way to go.
I work with a film festival/theater. How can we cooperate?
